| 550 gms charas recovered, 3 narco smugglers arrested | | |

JAMMU, Dec 25: Police have arrested three Narco smugglers and recovered a consignment of charas from their possession at Police Check Post, Manwal in Udhampur district.
According to police sources, a team of Majalta police station intercepted one Maruti Car bearing registration No JK 02AA-5885 at PCP Manwal which was on way from Srinagar to Ferozpur and during thorough checking 550 gms charas was recovered from the vehicle.
On questioning the three persons travelling in the said vehicle disclosed their names as Driver Basharat Ahmed Rather son of Ghulam Qadir, age 23 years of Tarigam Tehsil Kulgam, Gulzar Ahmed Dhar son of Abdul Rehman Dhar, age 27/28 years of Batpura Tehsil Kulgam and Mohammad Altaf Bhat son of Abdul Rashid, age 25/26 years of Yaripura Tehsil Kulgam. All the three persons alongwith vehicle were taken into Police custody and case FIR No. 57/2011 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act registered at P/S Majalta.
