| No tehsil status for Balakote in sight | | | Jammu, Jan 12
In reply to a question by Javed Rana, Minister of State for Revenue and Finance Mr. Prem Sagar Aziz said that there is also no proposal at present under consideration for granting tehsil status to Balakote. In a related question raised by Nazir Gurezi the Minister said that there is no such proposal under consideration of the government to upgrade Tulail Niabat to that of a tehsil level.
Abdul Majid Wani, Mr. Abdul Rahim Rather and Dr. Manohar Lal raised the supplementaries and Minister said that the demands of the people would be considered after the delimitation committee submits its report.
In reply to another question on the number of Bullet proof cars, Minister for CAPD, Taj Mohiudin, presented a list of VVIPs and VIPs to the Speaker, Tara Chand for providing same to the legislators who raised supplementaries in the Assembly on the main question asked by Ghulam Hassan Khan demanding information about the BP cars provided to VIPs.
