Mufti led regime set an example of good governance: PDP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 25: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today said that government headed by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed had removed regional disparities and carved out a path of equitable development in the state. Addressing a meeting at ward number 9 of Jammu city organized by Gurpreet Singh, general secretary of the party Thakur Balbir Singh said that period of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as Chief Minister of the state was golden period in the political history of the state because developmental activities were accelerated on all fronts. Singh said that PDP led regime had set an example of equitable and balanced development in Jammu and Kashmir. He observed that after 1947, first time all regions were treated equally in the development and other decision making process and credit for this goes to the PDP led regime. He reminded various developmental projects taken in the state in general and Jammu city in particular during regime of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and exhorted the party workers to ask the people to compare three year performance of PDP with decades long misgovernance of NC. He said a number of beautification projects initiated and implemented during that period and new look was given to Jammu city. He further said that it was all due to efforts of Mufti Sayeed that elections of the civics bodies were held after a gap of more than three decades. Speaking on the occasion, another senior leader Ved Mahajan said that PDP led coalition regime had laid a foundation of mutual trust and confidence among inhabitants of different regions and sub-regions of the State. He recalled that during PDP led regime Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh had sanctioned huge amount for the development of the State. He said that Asian Development Bank (ADB) and other institutions had also released huge developmental funds for the State and these funds were equally utilized in all regions.
