Jammu, Dec 25: Senior Congress leader Ashok Bhan has underlined the need for structural changes in the J&k political set up so as to incorporate the representatives of exiled Kashmiri Pandit community which is facing total exclusion and isolation on this front. Bhan said in order to have the voices of the Pandits heard in the political corridors there was need to have articulate and assertive voices in the government from within the community.
Speaking at the DEDICATION day function organized exiled Kashmiri pandits through Kashmiri Samiti Delhi, Bhan who is also Prominent legal luminary today said, the exiled community must recognize the dynamics of reality of the Kashmir situation and formulate newer political strategy to return to the Valley, the Homeland. Kashmir belongs to Pandits as much it belongs to Muslims. "We are in alienable part of Kashmiri civilization with more than 5000 years of evidenced history of our roots and far more contribution in shaping plural ethos which is in peril by the acts of militants, the fringe alien mercenaries, the vested interests, and few redical elements, he said. All Kashmirs have now to unitedly stand up,rise to the occasion & save Kashmir and restore its secular glory .On this dedication day Pandits have resolved "THAT WE WILL RETURN TO THE VALLEY OUR HOMELAND,"and contribute our might to build a modern and secular ,secured and just Kashmir.
Bhan, urged the UPA Government to liberally fund the State to build infrastructures for decent, peaceful and secured living of people. "The death & destruction era unleashed by terror groups has devastated the economics and Cultural foundations of the Valley.
