Future period crucial for Jammu: BJP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Dec 26: The future period is very crucial for the Jammu and the entire state politically as well as nationally keeping in view the political uncertainty created by the Central government on account of anti-national activities by the miscreant elements in the valley and the forthcoming Local Bodies elections. The party must be prepared to rise to the challenging occasion and be prepared to ensure upholding of national interests and those of the nationalist people of the state, said national executive member & MLA Jammu East Ashok Khajuria while welcoming a large number of political workers who joined the BJP in the public rally in celebration of 87th Birthday of Atal Behari Vajpayee . The function was presided over by Ashok Khajuria and chief guest was national executive member & MLA Nagrota Jugal Kishore Sharma and State General Sat Sharma, district President Rajesh Gupta were also present. 87 oil lamps were specially lighted on the occasion to mark the completion of 87 years by Atal. Khajuria said that BJP is a party of disciplined and dedicated workers and in the very near future they will get the opportunity to prove their ability in garnering public support in the forthcoming Municipal elections. Paying respects to Atal whom he described as a beacon of light and inspiration for the entire nation by his single minded dedicated service to the nation rendered throughout his life. He described Atalji as a paragon of selfless service for the human cause and peace. Jugal Kishore Sharma, in his address cautioned the party workers not to get misled by the propaganda of the Congress-NC and PDP. BJP remains uncompromisingly committed to oppose and eradicate the corruption. The BJP did not dither or vacillate in combating dishonest conduct and expelled seven MLAs from the party on account of their misconduct during the legislative council elections. People look to the BJP for eradication of corruption from the public life and we must not fail them. The party’s struggle remains against corruption and anti-people policies.
