| NPP condoles death of Shri Yashpaul Khajuria | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 27: JKNPP working committee expressed deep shock on the untimely and shocking demise of Yashpaul Khajuria, member of Legislative Council and former minister in J&K who has been playing an active role in the Congress Party for several years.
In a condolence message to the bereaved family, Bhim Singh chairman-NPP recollected his close-association with Yashpaul ji since 1973 when he was inducted in Youth Congress by Bhim Singh, the then Pradesh Youth Congress President.
Khajuria was included as a district vice-president.
In 1983, Bhim Singh was Panthers Party candidate for Assembly polls whereas Yashpaul Khajuria was the Congress candidate against Bhim Singh.
Khajuria won Chennai assembly poll against Panthers Party candidate in 1987 and was elevated as a Minister.
Bhim Singh admired Yashpaul Khajuria for his respectful, humane and friendly conduct in his interaction with the friends and critics alike.
The JKNPP president Balwant Singh Mankotia, MLA postponed the one-day state rally of JKNPP today which was scheduled for this day at Udhampur as a mark of condolences to Yashpaul Khajuria.
The Panthers party working committee in a condolence message prayed for peace to the departed soul in the heaven.
The party also condoled the death of Girdhari Lal of Gho-Manhasa, maternal uncle of Faqir Nath, Ex-MLA & Provincial President JKNPP.
The party prayed for rest in the heavens to the departed soul.
