Deputations call on Azad

Deputations from Budgam and Noorabad areas called on Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad here today and apprised him of their problems and demands.
The deputation led by Congress Working President District Budgam Mr. Zahid Hussain Jan submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister urging him for opening of a degree college at Charar-i-Sharief and according sub-divisional status to Charar-i-Sharief and creation of tehsil at Magam.
Other demands projected by the deputationists included opening of health centres at Nagam and Bazgoo, upgradation of middle schools at Mahnoor, Bazgoo, Gamboora, Gondipora and Watalgam to high schools and primary school at Howrah to middle school levels. They also urged for developing Neelnag from tourism point of view.
The deputationists also pleaded for creation of a rural development block at Arigam, construction of roads from Tilsara to Charar-i-Sharief and Charar-i-Sharief to Haproo to ensure greater connectivity for opening up the areas for speedy development.
Another deputation from Noorabad led by JKPCC General Secretary Mr. Abdul Majid Padder urged Mr. Azad for construction of Damhal Hanjipora-Arijan and Nandimarg-Yarikha roads. The deputationists also put forth several other development-oriented demands of the area.
The deputationists appreciated bold and historic initiatives taken by Mr. Azad to put massive infrastructure development on fast track with time bound completion of development projects, adding that results of these initiatives are becoming visible on ground. They also lauded steps taken by the government for ensuring healthy work culture and eradication of corruption, extending their whole-hearted support to Mr. Azad in realizing his mission of making Jammu and Kashmir a highly developed and prosperous state of the country.
Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to the deputations and assured that their demands would be looked into.
