| Naib Sarpanch shot at during hunting | | | Early Times Report
kathua, Dec 29: A Naib Sarpanch was killed during an accidental fire from a hunting team in forest area of Kathua here today, police sources said further adding police has arrested the alleged accused besides seizing weapon of offence.
According to the police sources the incident occurred today noon when a group of 18 persons were on hunting spree in forest area of Gota Nullaha, Hatli Morh killed a Naib Sarpanch of village in an accidental fire. The victim has been identified as Niab Sarpanch of village Maatabpur Mukhtiyar Singh (48) son of Anant Ram, by his own relative, sources added.
Police sources said that police meanwhile has arrested one person as Babu Singh son of Prem Singh of Loget Morh and has seized a loaded muzzle gun was also seized. A case under section 304 RPC stands registered against him in this regard.
Meanwhile the body of the deceased was handed over to the relatives after autopsy for last rites. Police source added the postmortem report of the deceased for further investigation of the case
