| 2-day Urs Sharief of Peer Matoo concluded | | | JAMMU, JAN 13 A two-day Urs Sharief of Syed Mohammad Maqbool Shah Bukhari alias Peer Matoo concluded at Pamrote in Surankote here this evening. Thousands of Mureed (followers) from cross section of society of Rajouri and Poonch districts converged at the Ziarat of revered saint and offered fateha at the holy grave. During the Urs, Quran Khawani and Mehfil-e-Darood was held and the Niaz (free langer) were served to the devotees. Various Ulmas and Islamic scholars highlighted the teachings and simple life style of the saint. Addressing a mammoth congregation Maulana Syed Basharat Hussain Razvi said that Peer Matoo was a beacon of spirituality of Ahel-e-Sunnat-Wal-Jamaat who though out his life preached for leading a virtuous life and helping the down trodden section of society without the distinction of religion colour and creed. He said that the revered peer was a great lover of Prophet Mohammad (PBH) and always stressed upon his followers to follow the foot steps of holy Prophet for leading a peaceful and truthful life. Besides others who addressed the gathering included Syed Mushtaq Ahmad Bukhari MLA Surankote who is also the son and Gadi Nasheen of Ziarat, Maulana Farooq Ahmed Naqashbandi, Maulana Sanaullah and Maulana Mohammad Mustafa Immam Jamia Masjid Surankote. Earlier Saheed Sadam Hussain library was set up in Madarsa Razvia Sultania at Surankote which was inaugurated by Mehetmim Syed Basharat Hussain Razvi.
