Dental College Principal controversy | Dr Singh to look after college | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, December-30 (JNF):- AThe High Court today allowed Dr Romesh Singh to look after the Dental College. The DB comprising Chief Justice FM Ibrahim Kalifulla and Justice Virender Singh issued the order in an appeal filed by Dr Romesh Singh.
The write court had set aside temporary appointment of dr Singh on Novemver 9, 2011. The court after hearing the parties allowed the appellant to look-after the work of Principal Indira Gandhi Govt Dental College Jammu under Dr. Reyaz Farooq Principal Govt Dental College Srinagar.
The Court also made it clear that any policy decision shall be taken by the Govt in consultation with Dr. Reyaz Farooq. The court observed that when this appeal was taken-up it was brought to the notice of Division Bench that by way of implementation of the order impugned in the appeal, Dr. Reyaz Farooq has been directed to take charge of the post of Principal Indira Gandhi Govt Dental College Jammu and that he has also assumed charge. It is also brought to notice of this Court that process of selection to the post of Principal has been notified and applications have also been invited vide advertisement notice dated September 20, 2011. The court directed the official respondents to conclude the selection process expeditiously, possibility within one month so that the regular Principal can assumed charge to put an end to the controversy.
