Man murdered at Reasi, brother among 2 accused held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 30: The two accused, who late Monday night murdered a man at Harote Kote in Reasi by slitting his throat, were today apprehended by police. One of the accused was the deceased's brother, police sources said. Ghulam Rasool, son of Mir Baaz of Harote Kote, was found murdered at his residence late Monday night. His throat had been slit by the accused with a sharp-edged weapon, the sources added. Police came to know about the incident Tuesday morning. A Reasi police station team, which was led by SHO, Inspector J Sambyal, was then despatched to the spot. After examining the scene of crime, police removed the body to the Reasi district hospital where a post-mortem was conducted on it. Later, it was handed over to his family for last rites. Sources said questioning of the villagers during investigation revealed that Rasool had allegedly been murdered by his brother Talib Hussain and his accomplice Lehar Singh, both residents of Harote Kote. Both of them were today arrested by police from their hideout in the village. Initial investigations suggested that the motive behind the murder could be the illicit relation of Talib with the deceased's wife, the sources added. Further probe into the case was on. Police had registered a case against the accused under sections 302, 452 and 34 of RPC.
