| KVK Doda organized 5th SAC meeting | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU , December 30 : Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Doda of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Science and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) organized 5th Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) Meeting at Dak Bungalow, Bhaderwah.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. K S Risam, Director Extension Education, SKUAST-Jammu and attended by worthy SAC members, heads of various line departments, representative of lead bank (SBI), progressive farmers from Doda district, scientists of KVK and Regional Horticulture Research Sub Station of SKUAST-J at Bhaderwah.
The meeting was started with the welcome address by Dr Sanjay Khajuria, where he welcomed the chairman, worthy members of SAC, scientific fraternity and progressive farmers.
Dr. R. S. Bandral, Member Secretary of SAC and Programme Coordinator of KVK, presented the agenda items of the meeting. He presented action taken report on the recommendations of 4th SAC meeting and the various activities taken up by KVK scientists during the current year.
Dr Dimesh Kumar, Principal Scientist (Pomology) & member of SAC and Dr S R Singh, Principal Scientist (Veg. Sciences) of Central Institute of Temperate Horticulture, Srinagar, enlightened the house with their valuable scientific suggestions.
The district head of Doda district put forward their valuable suggestion for the benefit of farming community. In his keynote address, the chairman, Dr. K S Risam stressed upon for a holistic and coordinated approach of KVK scientists and field officers to deliver the modern agricultural technologies at the doorstep of farmers.
