| Brahmin community holds meeting at Brahman Sabha | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu Dec 30: In a meeting of prominent Brahmins held in Bhagwan Parshuram Bhawan, Parade Jammu which was presided over by O N Khajuria.
In addition to members of the community from city members of community from Akhnoor, Samba, Udhampur, Reasi, Katra, Bishnah, R.S.Pura, Rajouri, Chenani, Majalata & Vijaypur also attended the occasion.
During the meeting it was announced that the eleven member committee that will be responsible for conduct of routine affairs and make arrangements for the elections. It was also resolved that the membership shall be completed and voter list prepared and exhibited so as to conduct the elections within four months that is by 30.4.12 as per provision of the constitution. President Dogra Brahmin Pratinidh Sabha assured the meeting that the list of 11 members of the committee shall be made public on 1.1.12 with consent of advisor patron, General Secretary & Cashier of the Sabha who were present in the meeting.
Meanwhile a delegation of community members also called on president of Sabha urging him for smooth and fair polls of the sabha. The president of Sabha paid a keen ear to the issues raised by the delegation and assured of ‘free and fair’ organization polling.
