| Assistance to family ‘fake encounter victim’ demanded | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Rajouri Dec 30: Locals of Saaj area of Rajouri today held a protest in view of their demand financial aid to the family of Mohd Ishaq of area, whose son was killed in a fake encounter happened in Surankote area of nearby Poonch district.
Locals alleged that since the 13th of August 2011, when in an encounter in hilly belt of Surankote a terrorist was killed but the same was found that this whole encounter was based on a fake grounds a plot of a Army TA Jawan and a police cop for their personal cop to earn easy money..
Meantime two families one from Saaj and one from Udhampur claimed the victim as their family member and none has received any monetary benefits from state. Locals further alleged the DNA sample of Mohd Ishaq had been sent for matching with those collected from victim but so far no result of the matter has come out. The members of the family along with other locals today held a massive protest and blocked busy route. They demanded that Govt authorities and police should pay required emphasis in the issue so that victim's family could get assistance.
