Slathia visits border areas, inspects ongoing development works

JAMMU, DECEMBER 30: Minister for Industries and Commerce, Mr. Surjit Singh Slathia on Friday visited border areas of Ramgarh sector including Barkatpur Jaad, Maharajpur and other adjoining areas and took stock of problems of the people and inspected various developmental projects.
Addressing a large gathering, the Minister cautioned the people against nefarious design of elements, which are hell-bent to disturb the peaceful atmosphere in the state. He appealed the people to remain united and frustrate their designs, besides maintaining age-old traditions of mutual brotherhood and communal harmony. He also urged them to strengthen the hands of present Omar led government which has the capacity to change the economic profile of the people.
The Minister also lambasted the opposition parties for exploiting the sentiments of innocent and peace loving people of the State for their petty political. He advised them not to be impatient and stop daydreaming and wait till the present coalition government completes its tenure.
Responding to the demands of the people of village Barkatpur Jaad the Minister directed to the concerned authority for construction of Chawni and Abtaal Road shortly. He also announced a new primary school would be constructed in the area during next financial year; black topping of the link road would be taken up very soon he assured.
The Minister also convened a public darbar at Maharajpur village border area, where he announced 63 KVA transformer for un-interrupted supply of electricity in the area. He directed the executive agency for construction of boundary wall of primary school Maharajpur, lanes and drains, extension of Nallah and installation of 5 hand pumps, for continuous supply of water in the area.
The Minister also assured the people that for all pending demands including widow pension cases would be redressal in a phased manner.
