| Massive hunt for leopard launched at Panchalthan | | | Srinagar, Jan 13
In view of grave threat of leopard attack and loss of precious lives in Panchalthan area of Shangus constituency, massive and vigorous hunt has been launched by Wild Life department in collaboration with local police authorities to trap the leopard.
This was stated by Minister of State for Health and Power, Peer Mohammad Hussain while presiding over a meeting of officers of Wild Life and Police agencies here today. He directed the concerned agencies to do the needful within two days so that further loss of life can be prevented.
Expressing deep shock and anguish over the loss of three precious lives of innocents by leopard attack, Mr. Hussain asked the wild life authorities to provide ex-gratia relief to the affected families soon.
