| RD arrangements finalized at Srinagar | | | Srinagar, Jan 13
Arrangements regarding celebration of Republic Day at Bakshi Stadium Srinagar were finalized at a high level meeting of officers here today with Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Aijaz Iqbal in chair.
The meeting had a threadbare discussion on various issues including clearance of stadium from possible snow fall and availability of drinking water, medical aid, sanitation in and around the venue of function. It was informed that men and machinery has been kept in a state of readiness to tackle any eventuality that may arise in the event of snowfall.
Adequate arrangements like heating, transport facility for the participating students, security etc have been made by the concerned departments for the smooth conduct of the function.
The Deputy Commissioner called upon the concerned agencies to maintain close coordination for success of the programme.
