| “Release of DA only way out for state employees: NMC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jan 1: Demanding an early release of pending installment of 7% DA due from July last in favour of state govt. employees and pensioners on the New Year Subash Shastri president of the National Mazdoor Conference said that release of DA was the only way out for State Government Employees and pensioners to make the two ends meet against the backdrop of the constantly rising prices of essential commodities.
Addressing a NMC activists meeting here today Shastri has said that in view of the increasing inflation this installment has already been released by the central and several state governments and pensioners.
He further appealed the CM and finance Minister to take decision on the matter in the next cabinet meeting. He said that when the provision has been kept for the DA in the budget there was no justification on for withholding the same.
Pleading the cause of daily wagers working in various government departments, NMC chief also demanded regularization of daily wagers working 11:1 the Rural Development Department (RDD) and other apartments, who have completed seven years of service.
He emphasized for issuing immediate orders for regularization of eligible daily wagers in the state.
He also demanded pension benefits to the employees of PSUs and regularization the services motivators working in watershed project at Akhnoor.
