PDTU crticises apathetic attitude of the govt | Three fasting PDD daily wagers shifted to hospital | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 2 : Three daily wage employees of Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Department, sitting on hunger strike demanding regularisation, were today shifted to hospital by police after their condition deteriorated.
Police forcibly hospitalised three PDD daily wagers after their health condition deteriorated as their hunger strike entered seventh consecutive day. The PDD daily wagers are agitating for the past one month against the Jammu and Kashmir Government for not fulfilling their demand of regularisation and clearance of dues. "Police this morning lifted the three daily wagers from the hunger strike site and shifted them to the Government Medical College and Hospital," a Union leader said. The hospitalised daily wagers - Mohammad Farooq, Deepak Sharma and Sarabjit Singh were replaced by four more employees at the hunger strike. Meanwhile PDTU leaders visits dharna site criticize the apathetic attitude of the govt. towards PDD daily wagers.Suresh Sharma President of the JKPDTU- a labour Wing of the party along with other leader Jasmit Singh ,Prem Singh Bawa, Anchal Bakshi, Rohit Dogra,Rajesh Kumar,Dr.Vikas,G.N.Singh, S.K.Raina personally visited the site of dharna where hundreds of the daily wagers of the PDD and PDC were demonstrating for issuance of orders for their regularization that have been appointed 1994 and have completed seven years. Meanwhile Jammu Kashmir People’s Democratic Trade Union (JKPDTU) district Kathua unit has also declared its full support to the demands of the protesting Power Development Department (PDD) daily wagers.
