| Cabinet approves DA, construction of Degree Colleges and promotion of R K Jerath | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 2: State Cabinet, which met here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah accorded administrative approval to payment of Dearness Allowance (DA) to State Government Employees and State Pensioners- revised rates effective from July 1, 2011.
The Cabinet also approved construction of 13 Degree Colleges against an amount of Rs. 16713.33 crore (Rs. 10432.97 lakhs for 8 PMRP colleges and Rs. 6280.36 lakhs for 5 State Plan Colleges through JKPCC).
The Cabinet also accorded approval to the promotion of R K.Jerath to the fixed scale of Rs 80, 000 pm against an available vacancy with immediate effect.
The Cabinet also accorded sanction to the promotion of A K Srivastava on proforma basis, Lal Chand to the above Super Time Scale-II (Pr. Chief Conservator of Forests) of Rs 75500-80,000, Grade Pay HAG+ Scale prospectively.
It also approved the promotion of Deepak Khanna, Ravi Kumar Kesar, Suresh Chugh and Mukher Jeet Sharma to the above Super Time Scale-I (Additional Pr. Chief Conservator of Forests) in the pay scale of Rs 67,000-79000 (Grade Pay: HAG prospectively).
The Cabinet approved re-employment of Basharat Ahmad Dhar as Managing Director, J&K State Power Development Corporation for a period of two years with effect from 1.1.2012.
The Cabinet also approved promotion of Aijaz Ahmad Akhoon to the post of General Manager, Government Press, Jammu.
The Cabinet also accorded approval to the promotion of IAS officers to the Selection Grade of IAS (Rs 37400-67000, GP Rs 8700 w.e.f 1.1.2011.
The officers promoted include Hridesh Kumar on proforma basis, Sarita Chouhan, Mohammad Ashraf Bukhari, Mohammad Abass Dar and Mtr. Shagufta Parveen.
The Cabinet also accorded approval to the promotion of IAS officers to the senior Time Scale of IAS (Rs. 15600-39100, GP Rs 6600) w.e.f. 1.1.2011. The officers included Simrandeep Singh and Jitender Kumar Singh. Promotion of Jitender Kumar Singh to the senior Time Scale of IAS is subject to the condition that he shall pass the departmental examination within one year from the date of the promotion.
The Cabinet also accorded approval to the appointment of 46 officers of the feeding services to the Time Scale of J&K Administrative Services (KAS).
