| Vakil optimistic for return of complete peace and normalcy | | | Jammu, Jan 13 Describing the present peace initiative taken by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the positive approach of the president Mushrraf in resolution of all the bilateral issues, MLC and senior vice president JKPCC Mr. Abdul Gani Vakil expressed optimism about the return of complete peace and normalcy to the state and said that the time is no far away when Kashmir would again become a paradise on earth. He prayed that the visit of the External Affairs Minister Mr. Pranab Mukerji to Pakistan proves a success, saying that the peace initiative taken by India and Pakistan are evoking tremendous public response and there was a strong feeling that both countries live as peaceful neighbours and the Kashmir issue resolved across table. Mr. Vakil was addressing district level party workers convention at Sopore today. The convention was also addressed by General Secretaries JKPCC Mr. Amreen Badar, Mr. Mohammad Amin Bhat and working district president Baramulla. Describing the visit of Pranab Kukerji as historical Mr. Vakil appealed all the separatists, mainstream leaders and both factions of Hurriyat to come to table and leave their political mileage aside saying the present situation demands that everyone should jointly come forward to settle the dispute for good because the people want to shed the past hatred and hostilities and expect new horizons. He hailed the steps already taken by central government for confidence buildings measures throwing open various routes for people to people contacts. Mr. Vakil hoped that many other routes could be opened when a congenial atmosphere is created. He said that the solution of problems come through conesus and no single party can give a solution to present crisis, he added.
