Senior citizens tour to Ajmer, not cultural aggression: GoC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, Jan 2: Rejecting the allegations of cultural aggression by some separatist elements in valley, the army on Monday clarified that it has no such intentions and has believed in it. Talking to media on the sidelines of a function at Badambagh cantonment, GOC Chinar Corps, Lt. Gen. S A Hassnain said, “We have no intentions to indulge in cultural aggression.’’ Terming the statements from separatist elements for criticizing tour of elderly people to sacred shrine of Ajmer Sharief, GOC Chinar Corps said that it was only the frustration of separatists to accuse army. He said that taking senior citizens to Ajmer and other historical places does not tantamount to cultural aggression and said if separatists wish to undertake such tours, they would be welcomed. Meanwhile GOC said that army was alert on boarders and there was a possibility of infiltration lowering down during winters. He said some militants might have crossed the line of control in the previous year he however made it clear that there was no definite number available. During the occasion The GOC Chinar Corps was accompanied by Minster of sports R.S Chib andother senior officials from Indian army.
