| AJKLTF demands framing of transfer policy | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 2: All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation (AJKLTF) held a working committee meeting at Government Central Basic Higher Secondary School, Jammu under the Chairmanship of Bhushan S Verma, State President and Maheshwar Parsad, Convener Mukand Lal Sharma was the Chief Guest.
The working committee members discussed the various issues during the meeting to raise the education standard in the state. On the occasion, the members raised problems being faced by the teaching community.
Later, addressing the media persons, the provincial president Pardeep Kumar (Reasi) demanded rationalization in Education Department, framing of transfer policy viz a viz release of 6th pay commission
He also demanded selection grade to masters after 5 years of service in the master grade.
Kumar further said that the AJKLTF demands to speed up regularization of all incharge officers in Education Department besides regularising all the lecturers who have PG degrees from recognized universities.
He said that in order to overcome the shortage of staff in offices and schools of far flung areas can be minimized by awarding dislocation allowance to employees equal to 30% of basic pay as prevalent in eighties.
