TTDF demands rotation of CM
1/2/2012 11:02:27 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 2: Tehsil Thathri Development Front (TTDF) has appealed to Congress high command at the centre to consider seriously the demand of rotational Chief Minister.
Senior Vice President Tehsil Thathri Development Front, Kanwarjeet Singh Thakur and its Joint Secretary Rashem Singh in a joint statement issued here today said that right from 1948 there has been supremacy of Kashmiri politicians in the governance of the state.
It is still continuing except for a brief period of two and half years when Ghulam Nabi Azad was made the Chief Minister though Kashmiri leadership did not tolerate him for his full term of three years during his chief ministership adding that Jammu region saw for the first time some concrete development under his tenure.
They said that as per agreement among coalition partners Omar Abdullah would continue as chief minister for the full term of six years. Recently Azad has also announced that Abdullah will complete his tenure of six years.
However, All J&K Movement For Peace & Justice does not approve this approach. We strongly demand that the rotational system should be implemented and this opinion of ours is shared by all the other organizations as well as general public of Jammu Province. We don't accept what Azad has said and we also reject the arrogant statement of Sheik Ghulam Ahmed Saloora-the Provincial secretary NC in which he has asserted that" NO power can change CM".
They demanded that for the next three years Azad Sahib should be again made the Chief Minister as he is the only experienced politician of the region who has already proved that he started the genuine development works of Jammu province.
