Brahmin Sabha executive body’s term ends, interim committee formed | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 2: With the term of the incumbent executive body of Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha ended today, an interim committee has been constituted to look after the affairs of the Sabha and conduct free and fair elections for the next term within five months. The interim committee comprises of Prof Devender Sharma ex-president All India Brahman Federation, K K Paroch retired sessions judge, Shiv Kumar Sharma of Katra, Prithvi Raj Sharma retired SP, Raghunandan Sharma of Bishnah, Janak Raj Sarohtra, Dr K L Khajuria, Mangu Ram Sharma of Akhnoor, Ramesh Shama, Lal Man Sharma of Satwari and Ashwani Kumar Sharma sarpanch of Sangrampur. The committee will start functioning from tomorrow, starting membership drive of the Sabha immediately and conducting election of the new central body within five months. This has been done consequent upon the decision taken in a general open adhiveshan of the Brahman community held in the Sabha premises at Parade Jammu on December 30 last.
