Jammu United beat Solina 4-3 in sudden death | | | JAMMU, Jan 2: Jammu United Club trounced Solina Club Srinagar 4-3 in sudden death in one of the well contested match of the day in the ongoing 6th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tournament, organised by All J&K Christian Welfare Association at GGM Science College ground, here today. Tied at 1-1 in the stipulated time, the match ended in a 3-3 draw in tie-breaker. However, in sudden death, Jammu United emerged winner making it 4-3 on the board. Earlier, in the match time, Shashi took early lead for Jammu United netting the ball in the 35th minute of the first half. However, the lead was equalized by Solina Club in the 38th minute. In another match of the day, Mussa Club blanked New Bharat 6-0 in a one-sided contest. Kumar Laadi (21st and 55th), Sandeep (35th and 50th) and Deepak (40th and 48th) were scores from winners Mussa Club. The third match of the day was won by formidable side of Jammu and Kashmir Police-B beating Young Hero by two goals to nil. Shabir Ahmed scored both the goals for winners striking in the 21st and 55th minute. FIXTURE: GGM Science College: Param FC to meet Jammu United at 1 pm and J&K Police B shall take on Churchill Brothers at 2.30 pm. Mini Stadium, Parade: Vijay Club shall lock horns against Young Rovers at 2 pm.
