| Protests rock Devsar area | | People om streets against government apathy | | Qazigund, Jan 13
Hundreds of people today took to streets in Devsar and protested against government for ignoring the area in terms of essential services and development of infrastructure.
The Devsar Assembly segment is represented by Sartaj Madni of Peoples Democratic Party.
Reports reaching here told News Agency of Kashmir that angry protestors shouted anti government slogans accusing it of turning a blind eye towards the area. “The area have dilapidated roads and power supply remains cut off for days together” said a local resident adding “people have resolved to continue their agitation till their demands are not fulfilled” They also demanded that a thorough inquiry should be held in the works done in the area during last three years. The protests were led by CPIM leader Yaqoob Ganie. |
