Demand regularization of PDD daily wagers, need base workers | BJP terms Omar govt as anarchic | | EARLY TIMES REPORT RAJOURI, Jan 3: Terming present coalition government as dub of anarchism, Bharatiya Janta Party has said that Daily Wages and Need Base workers of Power Development Department (PDD) are protesting for the last many weeks but government has turned deaf ear on their problem which is better example of anarchy but not a democratic government in the state. In a press statement issued today, BJP State Secretary Vibodh Gupta said that he along with District President Rajouri Yogesh Sharma participated in the dharna of PDD Daily Wagers at Rajouri in order to support their cause and press their demands before the government. Gupta alleged that there is anarchy in the state as people are not being listened to in this type of government. He said that in democratic setup people are supreme but here in J&JK people are protesting on roads for the last many weeks for want of wages and government has adopted anarchic attitude and is not mitigating their demands. About the decrepit situation of PDD Daily Wagers and Need base workers, Gupta said that there are various daily wagers and need base workers in Rajouri district who are working in the department for the last 20 years. He said that these workers are still working in temporary capacity and even need base workers are not being provided wages which is surprising for the state where centre is proving crores of rupees for this department. Gupta has extended full support to the daily wagers and assured them that if they continue the strike BJP leaders will even join hunger strike for their cause. Speaking on the occasion, Yogesh Sharma, BJP District President said that there is complete collapse of government as no public work is being done neither public is being listened to. He said that the attitude is annoying the people and they will teach the government a lesson in the coming elections.
