Do not convert traffic week into challan spree: Kranti Dal | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 3: A team of Kranti Dal activists today visited Nagrota and Nagrota Bye Pass area and met the tourists there. Kranti Dal team led by Pritam Sharma (Gen. Secy.) accompanied by Jagdish Sudan, Youth working President and Ashutosh, President Vidyarathi Unit had detailed deliberations with the tourists. During interaction with the tourists, most of them conveyed a common problem that the conductors of buses plying on Jammu – Katra route often misbehave with them and overcharge them. They also said the buses plying from Katra to Jammu, pick the tourists and promise them to drop at Jammu Bus Stand but mostly these buses drop the Tourists at Nagrota Bye Pass route, where there is hardly any transportation which could ferry them to Jammu Bus Stand thus leaving the unaware tourists nowhere to go. Now a days Traffic Week is going on and our Traffic Police is busy in making challans the Vehicles and mostly Two Wheelers are challaned. Matadors are plying overloaded and are stopping at their will. The Traffic Police is turning the Traffic Week into Challan Week as usually done every year. The week must be used to teach the Drivers/ Conductors to behave properly, not to overload the vehicles, not to overcharge and follow the Traffic Rules.
