Victim alleges police failed to file complaint 'as per his words' | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 3: Locals in Bishnah township once again are up against Police when a youth's complaint allegedly was not been registered by the police as per his wording by Bishnah Police. The incident took when a youth was reportedly manhandled last evening. A relative of victim told that Ashwani Kumar son of Darshan Lal resident of Nandrol Bishnah, was on way to his home with his friend when five persons forcibly stopped his vehicle and started beating him on the road, without any provocation. According to relative of victim accused was thrashed for over ten minutes by his assaulters who came from nowhere. When family members of the victim approached the concerned police and narrated the whole story to police but to their surprise, the police officials present on the occasion told them that there is shortage of men at the police station and they will lodge FIR in the morning. "Later a complaint was lodge in Bishnah police station under FIR no 341, 323 RPC 34, but family further alleged despite the fact that Ashwani was badly beaten up by his assaulters with intent to harm him and is a case under 307, attempt to murder but police registered the case minor sections, alleged Ashwani and his relatives. Meanwhile victim was shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) for X-Ray and MRI scan as he was feeling continuous headache and pain. He also received three stitches on his head against a hard blow received from his assaulters. |
