| VCC beats MCC in Winter Cup | | | JAMMU | JAN 13
In the ongoing winter cup, Vishal cricket club (VCC) defeated Muskkoor Cricket Club by 79 runs. After winning the toss, VCC elected to bat first and scored a huge score of 234 runs for the loss of eight wickets in allotted 30 overs match being played at GGM Science College.
Vivek Sharma (VCC) was the top scorer of the match with score of 73 runs in 51 balls, hitting 8 fours and 2 sixes. Sameer also played a strong knock of 54 runs and 51 balls with 6 boundaries while Rakesh and Sourav contributed for 30 and 14 runs.
Raju Malik and Naveen of MCC got two wickets each while Maleem and Sunny took one each. There were 43 extras in 1st innings.
Chasing the target of 234 runs, MCC was bundled out for 155 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 26.4 overs.
Sunny was the top scorer with score of 33 runs having 5 boundaries. While Jameel and Sajid Malik Contributed 16 and 21 runs to team’s total.
Shafaat Bawa, Rakesh and Avinash got two wickets while Vivek, Gill and Sourav got 1 wicket each.
Man of the Match was awarded to Vivek for his brilliant knock of 73 runs.
