| NSS unit GCW Parade organises lecture on NRHM | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 5:
The NSS Unit of Government College for Women Parade, organized Lecture on “Role of NRHM in improving Mother- Child Health” in State as a part of activity of Ten Day’s Special Camp.
Principal Dr. Kiran Bakshi was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Dr B.B. Sharma NGO Co-coordinator NRHM was the resource person. He gave a detailed account of various schemes launched by National Rural Health Mission to improve the overall health scenario of the State.
NRHM also have launched and provided various facilities to young mothers at numerous Public Health Centres so as to cater their urgent need of safe delivery and post delivery immunization, and later complicacies. He further stated that NRHM has also started many programmes at School and College levels to make students aware about their health and various schemes launched by the NRHM so as to get them benefited.
Dr S D S Jamwal NSS Programme Officer GCW Parade Jammu had read the vote of thanks. The other NSS Programme Officers Dr. Sushma Mahajan, Dr P P Singh, and Prof Shivali Gupta were also present on the occasion.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Radhika Mahajan a student of B.A Part IInd.
