RAJOURI, Jan 5:
A website for volunteer blood donors was launched today by Rohit Choudhary, who resides in border village of Korotana Kalan, RS Pura, Jammu.
The main motive of the launch of this website is to find the right blood group as matching can be a challenge and finding it in the nick of time is even more difficult However, www.indiadonor.in has made the search for the right blood group match easy.
An online blood bank, www.indiadonor.in, contains a database of self-interested blood donors spread across the country.
Rohit Choudhary founder of this website said that all the data entered on the site is reliable. It contains a listing of the donors, segregated according to blood type and location.
He said, “Our pursuit is to make the search for the right match quicker and cost-effective.”
Choudhary further said that donors are required to register on the website and provide their contact details while patients too can put up requirements on the website.
On placing the request, the contacted donor arrives at the hospital where the patient is admitted and donates his or her blood, said Choudhary.
“Our endeavour is to provide this service free of cost and especially to those who cannot pay for healthcare,” Choudhary said.
