Arrest-warrants issued against prosecution witness TP Singh

Jammu, Jan-5 : 2nd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu today issued bailable arrest warrants to the tune of 20,000 against prosecution witness Tej Pal Singh and ordered that warrants shall be forwarded to SSP Jammu for service.
2nd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Subash C Gupta observed that process issued for service of prosecution witness Tej Pal Singh, has already received back duly served. Despite service Tej Pal Singh has not caused appearance today for his examination as witness for the reasons best known to him. “His absence remained unexplained and as such, is considered as intentional and deliberate. Court further observed that his presence can be secured only by issuance of arrest warrants against him and bail-able warrants of arrest for Rs 20,000 against Tej Pal issued and shall be forwarded to SSP Jammu for service, court observed.
Court further ordered that in case of failure of its execution, concerned SHO shall cause his appearance on the date fixed for appearance of prosecution witness TP Singh.
Earlier today the much publicized Amandeep Singh Murder case was listed before the Court for recording the statement of Prosecution Witnesses and accused persons namely Jatinder Singh, Royal Singh, Manohar Singh then SSP, Sultan Mehmood Mirza then SHO Gandhi Nagar, Satnam Singh Sub-Inspector, Sarwar Hussain Bukhari Ballastic Expert FSL Jammu, Raj Singh constable, Nagar Singh alias Nago, and Choudhary Rakesh Singh were produced in custody by police escort from their jails whereas Jagar Singh who is on bail also present.
