| Madan Lal Sharma congratulates govt on completion of 3 years | | Appeal to solve long pending issues | |

AKHNOOR, Jan 5: Madan Lal Sharma, MP Jammu-Poonch constituency and Sham Lal Sharma, Minister of Health and Family welfare, J&K accompanied by Swarn Lata, Kuldeep Verma and Gurmukh Singh congratulated people at Akhnoor for the New year. They also congratulated Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah for successful completion of three years in office.
Madan Lal Sharma has also appealed the state government to solve the long pending issues of 1965, 1971 and West Pak refugees. He said that if state government takes this issue strongly with central government, it can be settled easily.
Sharma said that since the refugees belong to Jammu division they feel that government is meting out step motherly treatment to them. He said that government of J&K must solve these issues on top priority.
Sharma also demanded that the VAT on canteen items should be exempted for Ex- Servicemen in view of their meritorious services and sacrifices rendered to society. He also demanded the strengthening of Panchayati raj institution and demanded that this dream of Late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi must be fulfilled as this was the main issue of election manifesto of Congress at the time of election.
