| NIA scrutinize bank accounts of Kishtwar separatists | | Dr Waseem, family accounts also verified | | Asif Iqbal Naik
kishtwar, Jan 5: The four member National Investigating Agency (NIA) has scrutinized the bank accounts of separatist leaders in Kishtwar. The bank accounts of Dr Waseem and his family members were also verified.
According to the reports, NIA probing September 7,2011 Delhi High Court blast this morning visited the Kishtwar branches of Jammu and Kashmir bank as well as Punjab National Bank to seek details of various separatist leaders.
The reports said that NIA team besides scrutinizing the bank accounts also secured the statements of all the accounts. However it could not be confirmed whether the NT found any irregularities.
The NIA suspects huge transactions from Dhaka to Dr Waseem Malik who is presently lodged in Tihar Jail.
At the instance of the NIA, the Ministry of External Affairs initiated the process of seizure of Dhaka based bank account of Waseem Malik. The NIA has also sought details from Bangladeshi government pertaining to transaction details from the said account. But as of now it hasn't been cleared weather any data has been furnished by Bangladesh government. |
