| Oppn terms 3 years performance of Omar Govt total dismal | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 5: Though Omar Abdullah led coalition government boasts of its three years performance in office exuding confidence of completing full six years term, the opposition parties dismiss the tall claims of Government and term its performance on all fronts totally dismal.
The NC's betenoire Peoples Democrat Party (PDP) while dismissing claims of coalition said that the lawlessness is on top and there is nothing like government in the state. The Party accused the NC led coalition of negating all the peoples friendly programmes and policies initiated by Mufti Mohammed Syed led coalition in the state during its rule.
The widow and old age pension schemes have been withdrawn pitting these people to lot of trouble, alleges PDP. A Party spokesman while questioning the Omar Abdullah's qualification to head the coalition in the state said that except being the grandson of Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah and son of Union Minister of Renewable Energy, Mr. Abdullah has no qualification to head the alliance in the state.
He said the Chief Minister has neither any experience nor the mass base to head a government. He has failed to overcome the contradictions and infighting within state coalition partners who are up in arms against each other and were struggling for political upmanship in the state.
The spokesman said that bureaucratic wrangles are delaying important decisions and ministers instructions and orders are being turned down by the secretaries due to ineffectiveness of the government, he said, adding this has led to sufferings of common man.
The delay in completion of super specialty hospital in Jammu shows the ineffectiveness of the Government , he said, adding the killing of innocent people and hollow claims of government on revocation of AFSPA act have exposed it before the people.
The Accountability Commission has been made toothless and the failure of Constituting Vigilance Commission have exposed this government before the masses, he said, adding the rising corruption vote for cash scam and state terrorism which resulted into the killing of NC activists Mohammed Yousf Shah are glaring examples of the Omar Abdullah led coalition's performance.
Taking the Omar led Government by horns the BJP terms it worst ever political dispensation which the state has ever seen. The Party spokesman while commenting on three year's rule of Omar led government said the present coalition has given nothing except scandals, lawlessness and corruption to the state.
He said this government has nothing to add to its credit in three years in office. For the first time in the history of J&K a political activist was done to death in mysterious circumstances after exposing NC for its involvement in cash for vote scam.
He said discrimination against Jammu and Ladakh regions has increased during Omar led regime and the Jammu region was ignored on various fronts during this regime. The delay in holding of much over due civic body polls and failure to implement Indian Constitution's 73rd and 74th amendment is reflection of undemocratic character of this government.
The NPP, Shiv Sena and other opposition parties have also termed the performance of the coalition government totally dismal and demanded its immediate dismissal. |
