CM expresses displeasure to see his house glowing No BIJlI to VIP’s till it reaches to Common Man | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, January 7 (KNS); Displaying serious concern over the power shortage in valley Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in an exemplary step today asked PDD officials to snap power supply to his (CM’s) house also. He directed the department to cut the supply lines of all ministers’ bureaucrats and vip’s till the supply is restored to common house hold. Sources told KNS the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah who flew into Srinagar from Jammu this afternoon despite bad weather to take stock of the situation was surprised to see electric bulbs in his own Gupkar residence glowing. People from all most every part of the valley including Srinagar have been complaining of non availability of power supply since Friday evening due to snow fall. Sources told that chief minister immediately called the PDD officials and enquired as how has been the electricity restored to his (CM’s) house restored when the whole valley was starving for the same. PDD officials for believe to have told Omar Abdullah that essential supply line has been charged and the supply was restored to all vip’s and essential instillations including hospitals .However sources told KNS that CM was not convinced with the reply and asked PDD officials to snap the power supply to his house and all other vip’s .CM has directed PDD department not to restore supply of the vip’s till all other lines are charged and supply restore to common man. Meanwhile chief minister rushed to bemina grid station and chaired a high level meeting to take stock of the situation. According to sources chief minister may be camping in Srinagar for some more days in order to monitor the situation closely.
