| Inter School seminar on Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan organized | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kathua, Jan 7: In order to sensitize and mobilize rural masses at the grass root level, especially the youth community about Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), the Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Govt. of India organized a day long awareness camp on Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) in Sallan village of Kathua district the other day. The day long awareness Camp was part of two months long intensive Public Awareness Campaign on SSA which has been launched by the department throughout the state. The awareness programme was first ever of the Intensive Public Awareness Campaign on SSA launched by the Directorate of Field Publicity in the state.
The special awareness programme was organized in close coordination and collaboration with district administration and various State Govt. departments viz, Education and Rural Development. On the occasion an inter school seminar entitled “Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan - A boost to Education” was organized at Cambridge Mission Presentation Convent Hr. Sec. School, Dyala Chak in which three educational Institutions of the vicinity participated with full enthusiasm zeal and zest. Besides, Sarpanches, Panches, employees from education department, Social Activists and local populace from all walks of life participated actively and witnessed the programme with keen interest.
