| Mataushri Debating Inter School Contest held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT

Mataushri Debating Inter School Contest is being organized by NSS Unit of Dogra Law College in the Auditorium of the College. The topic of the contest was not only debatable but also of immense value “The Democratic Government of India, is by the People, of the People and for the People”.
The Chief Guest Dr. Desh Bandhu, Director Colleges Development Council in his Address appreciated the efforts of the College Management to initiate the process of Debating on a issue of National and Global Importance every year by introducing a Running Trophy and cash prizes for the students of the 10+2 schools of the J&K State. 24 Participants who participated in the contest was also congratulated by the Chief Guest. He desired that such innovative programs of educational and nation building importance must be organized, which definitely helps the harmonious growth of the Educational Institutions particularly private colleges. Th. Gulchain Singh Charak Chairman Dogra Educational Trust sponsored the Trophy and sent his good wishes and New year greetings to all participants, though he was not able to grace the occasions due to unavoidable circumstances and compulsions.
Jagdish Chander Principal Universal Academy, Dr. Subhra Kapoor, Former Principal Regional Research Laboratory and at present Visiting Teacher in K.C International School, Rahmi Chib, Senior Lecturer Dogra College of Education and Ms. Jyoti Bhagat, Former student of Dogra Law College and Young emerging Advocate performed the role of Judges.
Prof. V. K. Kapoor Director/Principal in his welcome Address highlighted the relevance of the topic of the Debate as well as the objective of involving 10+2 school students. He stressed that need in this country is to awaken the conscious of Fifty Crore Young persons.The following student participants where declared winner and bagged various prizes as under:-
1st & 2nd Consultation Prize was bagged by Mr. Pragun of BSF Senior Secondary School, Paloura and Ms. U. S. Lima of Shiksha Nekatan Higher Secondary School, respectively.3rd Position was of Avantika, Jodhamal Public School and 2nd Position was of Avharika of Army Public School, Miran Shaib while the First Position was of Apurva of BSF Senior Secondry School, Paloura.
The Matushri Inter School Debating Contest Running Trophy was bagged by BSF Senior Secondary School, Paloura.
Neha Pandita and Ms. Divya Jyoti were the Stage Secretary while welcome Address was delivered by Ms. Neetu Bharti, NSS PO and vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Shagufta Anjum,
The Debating Contest was started with a Prayer presented in a melodious voice of Ms. Ishrat Bhukari.
Dr. Anu Mankotia, Mr. Vineet Dubey, Shruty Jamwal were the Organizers.
