| Government fail on all fronts: Kissan Party | | | Jammu, Jan 14
Saying that the government has failed on all fronts and nothing has been done for the farmer community of the state, Sardar Kallu Khan Hamdard President J&K Kissan Mazdoor Party today said that the farmers of borders have not yet received full compensation for the losses they met during the last fifteen years.
Addressing a public rally Chackrai R S Pura, Kallu Khan criticized the governments for its anti-people policies and said that Kissan party will launch a campaign to expose the government, if it will not announce a special package for the Kissan, Dalit and drown trodden people of the state.
He said that despite knowing that the farmers of the border villages had to migrate from their villages and they could not cultivate their agriculture land for years together. “It was only after cease fire they could come back and start cultivating their land” he said adding even then they are asked for paying rents of electricity and telephone which they never use.
Khan asked people particularly from farmer community and downtrodden sections of the society to strengthen the Kissan Mazdoor party; it represents their aspirations in the state.
Blaming government for increasing graph of unemployment in the state, khan said that no special quota has been fixed for the farmers in government services.
“We demand a special package to be announced by the government during this budget” khan said adding that peasants of the state have been ignored by the all political parties who so came in power.
Referring to special subsidies in agriculture and horticulture sector for the peasants, Khan said all such schemes are existent in papers and nothing was being given to farmers of the state.
