NC taking pride in workers from other parties joining it......! | No regret over its own 'abandoned', quitting lot | | Early Times Report JANUARY, Jan 8: The ruling NC under attack for its failures is taking pride and consolation these days from what the parties leaders feel upbeat to announce that more and more workers from all other parties are flocking towards the ruling party and joining in hordes. Even as one assumes that as true but does ever NC leaders bother to look at the other side of the picture- scores of its workers and even senior leaders getting disillusioned with the party and quitting it to join rival parties. The NC leadership is not caring a bit towards the aboned lot , staunch loyalists or their kin who devoted entire life to cause of party. Talib, the son of deceased Haji Yousuf who died in mysterious circumstances under custody is a glaring instance of party's leaderhip's apathy towards own people. Former minister Ajay Sadhotra claimed Sunday hundreds of BJP, PDP and PP workers joined the NC at a public meeting at Trilokpur Marh. Interestingly, not a single name has been mentioned of any PDP, BJP or PP worker who joined the NC at the public meeting. Mr. Sadhotra would have done better to also say a few words about thos leaving his own party, than claiming hundreds of party workers belonging to PDP, BJP or the PP joined the NC. He should have spoken about the NC workers who have recently been joining the PDP and other parties. It has been traditional for the NC leaders to play the ostrich. Hiding themselves in the sand and claiming that they see nothing wrong with their party. Ajay Sadhotra said that the coalition government under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has launched a massive programme of development across the state and the progress registered during last three years under different sectors is before every citizen of state to see and certify them. He should also have spoken about the failures of the coalition government. The recent example being the plight of the people in the Valley who have been living in total darkness for the last three days because of the inability of the State government to discharge its responsibilities when nothing more than a few inches of snow occurred there. Sadhotra also spoke about the development of remote areas. He should have spoken about the plight of the people in winter capital Jammu and summer capital Srinagar who are worse off during the present dispensation. What good can a government do to the people living in the remote areas when those under its very nose are suffering so badly? |
