But for unknown reasons the service has been withdrawn. The locals registered protest when former Governor SK Sinha visited the area to assess the losses due to snow tsunami. The locals said Omar Abdullah promised air service during electioneering in 2009. They reminded the |chief Minister of his promise. A youth, Imtiyaz Ahmed of Marwah accused Omar Abdullah of backtracking from his promises. “Omar promised us employment and air service during winter but nothing has been done till date”, he said.
