TWA gets affiliated with J&K PDTU 15 point charter of demands released | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 8: In order to streamline and benefit the teaching community, the J&K Teachers Welfare Association (TWA) has prepared a 15 point charter of demands after a long brain storming session. The charter of demands would be submitted to the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, Minister for Revenue, Relief & Rehabilitation and Education Minister, for their consideration. This was informed during a press conference organised by the association The meeting was chaired by Mohinder Sharma chairman, Jasmeet Singh provincial president, Irfan Ahmed Distt President, along with other members like Vinod Uppal, Ajit Singh, Maqbool, Imtiaz, Deepak Bali, Munish Pandoh, Bishan Dass, Mehar Singh, Kulwant Singh, Master Dalbir Singh, Master Ashok Anand, Master Yaseen. On this occasion, to boost the trade union activities, J&K TWA also gets affiliated with the J&K People’s Democratic Trade Union (PDTU) in the presence of Suresh Sharma, President J&K PDTU. The demands released on the occasion include tenure of two years duration in case of promotion to other district, dislocation allowance of Rs 4000 for serving in rural areas, suitable residential accommodation be constructed at far off & non approachable schools besides Leave Travel Concession (LTC) facility be revived as Teachers’ too owe an family and wants to go out alongwith their families |
