Natrang’s ‘Kauva Chala Hans Ki Chaal’ enthralls audience at Abhinav theatre | | |

JAMMU , January 8 : Natrang’s Super Comedy play ‘Kauva Chala Hans Ki Chaal’ in Hindustani written originally in French by Moliere enthralled the jampacked audience at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu. Directed by Sumeet Sharma the play was presented by Natrang as a part of it’s weekly theatre show Sunday Theatre.
Vijay Bakaya MLC and former Chief Secretary, J&K was the Chief Guest on the occasion and Shabir Mujahid, Director Doordarshan was the guest of Honor.
Natrang Director Balwant Thakur while welcoming the distinguished audience dwelt in detail about Natrang’s weekly show ‘Sunday Theatre’ which is the longest surviving theatre show of the country.
Vijay Bakaya appreciated Natrang endeavors in creating a new cultural renaissance in the state of Jammu and Kashmir and assured all possible help to the group in the promotion of their mission. 92.7 Big FM was the Radio partner of the event.
The play ‘kava Chala Hans Ki Chaal’ takes place at ‘Kumar’s house, he is a middle-aged "bourgeois" whose father grew rich as a cloth-merchant. He has one aim in life, which is to rise above this middle-class background and be accepted as an aristocrat.
To this end, he orders splendid new clothes and is very happy when anyone calls him high class.
