| Hotel boy dies in sleep, 2 others found unconscious | | | Early Times Report
KATRA, Jan 08: While a hotel boy died in sleep, two others were found lying unconscious in the staff room of a hotel here this morning.
Police sources said Kaka Ram (17), son of Rishi Ram of Chenani, Naresh Kumar (20), son of Ratan Chand of Santhial, Samba, and Sunil Kumar (22), son of Ratan Singh of Jophar, Ramnagar, took meals last night and went to the staff room of their hotel to sleep.
They worked in Heera Harich hotel in the town here. However, when they did not join their duties in the morning, other hotel boys went to the staff room to enquire about them, the sources added.
Finding them lying unconscious, they brought the matter to the notice of the hotel manager who informed police.
Police rushed to the hotel and evacuated the threesome to the Katra hospital where Kaka was pronounced brought dead.
After the condition of the other two did not show any sign of improvement, they were referred to the GMCH, Jammu.
Police had registered a case in this connection and initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 of CrPC. |
