Chib expresses gratitude to students for participation | NSUI's membership drive | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 9: The state unit of National Students Union of India (NSUI) has expressed its gratitude to all those students who participated in the membership drive of NSUI. Addressing a press conference here today, state president NSUI Uday Bhanu Chib said it is for the first time that NSUI membership drive was conducted in J&K while students welcomed the democratic and electoral process which is introduced in the organisation due to the efforts of Rahul Gandhi. He said that as a result thousands of members were added to NSUI in J&K. Chib said that the first state executive meeting is going to be held in the month of February 2012. Shanawaz Shaikh (National General Secretary NSUI) who is also the state in charge of NSUI in J&K will preside the meeting and future planning and goals of the organisation will be discussed in the meeting, he added. Talking to media persons Joginder Singh Thakur, national delegate said that NSUI is keen to launch a host of activities in future and will work for the betterment of student community of the state. |
