| MEU calls on Dy CM, seeks redressel of demands | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 9: The Municipal Employees Union (MEU Ministerial) called on Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand at his official residence under the leadership of Union president Rohit George and submitted a charter of demands.
Demanding re-organization of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), the Union members said that the limits of the Corporation have been extended from 23 wards to 71 wards in year 2004-05 but the strength of the staff is same.
The employees also demanded conduct of a fresh DPC meeting beside they sought posting of Ward Officer in JMC and to frame new policy to make compassionate appointment.
The Municipal employees also demanded maintaining transparency transfer policy.
Dy Chief Minister while giving a patient hearing to the union directed his personal staff to fix a meeting with in a short time with the representatives of the union and Municipal Administration to sort out the issues at the earliest which are genuine. |
