| DIG Railway Security discusses GRP's issues with rail officials | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 9: DIG Railway Security J&K A K Atri visited Delhi and discussed the long outstanding issues of GRP J&K with General Manager Northern Railways, DGP RPF, Chief Security Commissioner / Addl Chief Security Commissioner RPF.
On pay 50-50 issue, General Manager Northern Railways informed DIG that the issue was put before Railway Board but could not get approved due to shortage of funds.
However, he informed that the issue will be put afresh to Railway Board for necessary action.
On the issues of infrastructure for GRP from Kathua to Udhampur and land for GRP Lines at Srinagar, General Manager, informed that Divisional Railway Manager, Northern Railways, Ferozpur shall be directed to send the estimate details of infrastructure and land for consideration of the Board.
He also assured that sanction of pending manpower issue will be placed before the Railway Board for approval/consideration.
Besides, DIG also met DGP RPF and projected the above mentioned issues, who informed him that Chief Security Commissioner/IGP RPF is a Nodal Officer who has to follow up all the above issues at the appropriate levels. The issues of Railway passes were also discussed with Chief Security Commissioner who is issuing authority. |
