| DIG Jammu asked to furnish detail of forming SIT in Amandeep Murder case | | Nagar Video Clip case | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 9: Special Municipal Mobile Magistrate Jammu today directed DIG Jammu Kathua Range to furnish of order whereby Special Investigation Team (SIT) pertaining to Amandeep Singh Murder case was constituted indicating the Specific role assigned individually all the members of the SIT and also directed the Nagar Singh's counsel to produce CD in question in the Court by tomorrow.
After hearing Advocate RK Kotwal with Adv Mandeep Singh for the Nagar Singh, the complainant, the Special Municipal Mobile Magistrate Jammu VS Bhou observed that an enquiry has been authorized and matter is of serious in nature and is required to be dealt with thoroughly.
Before proceeding ahead and leaping towards in the enquiry, Court said it expedient to direct DIG Jammu to furnish this Court by tomorrow copy of the order by virtue of which Special Investigating Team pertaining to Amandeep Murder case was constituted, indicating the specific role assigned individually to all the members of the SIT. Needful be done positively by tomorrow. In the meantime, Court directed counsel for the complainant to produce CD in question in the Court tomorrow.
In a complaint filed by Choudhary Nagar Singh @ Nago who is facing Trial in a much publicized Amandeep Singh Murder case and presently lodged in Sub-District Jail Hira Nagar has filed this complaint u/s 500,503 RPC & u/s 66-A Information Technology Act in which the complainant submitted that police subjected the complainant to unprecedented torture, both physical and mental while he was in custody of the police for a criminal case under FIR NO 247/2009 u/s 302/201/409/120-B RPC at P/S Gandhi Nagar Jammu. In the complaint it has been further submitted that to the surprise and shock of the complainant, the police officers were bent upon to extort his confession with respect to certain other case not known to the complainant and in the process used abusive language not only against the complainant but also against his wife, his daughter-in-law and advocates being engaged by the complainant. In furtherance of their conspiracy to publicly defame the complainant, the police persons without the consent of the complainant made a video film exhibiting complainant's aforementioned custodial interrogation and thereafter transmitted the same to a number of person on their cell-phone and also on internet through Youtube.
